Data studies is home to researchers from numerous disciplines, including information systems, computer science, sociology and economics, that center their research around data as a phenomenon.

Olivia Benfeldt
Assistant Professor
Olivia holds a ph.d. in Information Systems and an MSc in Information Technology. Her research focuses on data governance, and how policies, regulatory frameworks and large-scale infrastructures are enacted in practice.

Anika Schroder
Postdoc
Anika holds a ph.d. in Information Systems and an MSc in Entrepreneurship. Her research focuses on digital sustainability and how digital resources can foster a green transformation in the agri-food industry.

Ignacio Descazeaux
PhD Fellow
Ignacio is doing a PhD in Information Systems. His research focuses on quantum computing, and the impact of emerging technologies on on business and management of information systems.

Sine Zambach
Assistant Professor
Sine holds a ph.d. in Computer Science and an MSc in Bioinformatics. Her research focuses on citizen data science, data diplomacy in practice, and the role of artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning in education.

Arisa Shollo
Associate Professor
Arisa holds a PhD in Information Systems and previously worked as an IT business analyst. Her research examines the role of data and technology in decision making using organizational, behavioural and cognitive concepts.

Maren Gierlich-Joas
Assistant Professor
Maren holds a ph.d. in Information Systems and an MSc in Industrial Engineering. Her research focuses on digital transformation, and how workplace technologies impact transparency, privacy, and empowerment.

Maike Greve
Assistant Professor
Maike holds a ph.d. in Information Systems and an MSc in Applied Statistics. Her research focuses on large-scale digital health systems, and how to manage the challenges of secure health data sharing through data commons.

Rajani Singh
Assistant Professor
Rajani holds a PhD and an MSc in Mathematics. Her research focuses on game theory, mathematical economics and how to optimize blockchain for security and privacy.

Cecilie Lundqvist
PhD Fellow
Cecilie holds an MSc in Business Administration and Ebusiness and is currently doing a ph.d. in Information Systems. Her research focuses on digital sustainability and examines how digital technologies can enable circular transitions in the fashion industry.
